Our Story

Sunflower Studio was born from the simple idea that a space in the heart of the city could nourish creativity, well-being, and connection. Launched in the summer of 2022 and officially opening that September with an Autumn Equinox gathering, it quickly became a small, welcoming hub in Brighton’s North Laine.

Since then, it has hosted workshops, pop-ups, rituals, and spontaneous gatherings where people come together to create, heal, and simply be. Local art lines the walls, herbal brews warm hands, and conversations spark new ideas and projects.

From the very beginning, Sunflower Studio has been shaped by the people who walk through its doors—facilitators, neighbours, visitors, and friends—all contributing their energy and ideas. It has always felt more like a collective effort, a shared space that’s constantly evolving, rather than a project driven by a single vision.

In 2024, severe storms caused significant damage and forced us to temporarily close. But in that difficult time, the community rallied around us, offering help, donations, and encouragement. Their support reminded us just how important spaces like this are and why they matter.

Since reopening, Sunflower Studio has become a warm, accessible space that hosts donation-based events, offers organic and plant-based health products, and serves as a hub for local connections. We focus on promoting conscious consumption with offerings like hemp lattes, cacao, CBD oils, spring water, and cannabis consultations, as well as themed socials and local partnerships.

Above all, it’s a place for those interested in living mindfully and sharing their energy with others.

We continue to grow through projects like Sunflowers.Cloud, a digital community, our Substack newsletter, soon to be a printed zine, and collaborations with local businesses and outdoor spaces. Sunflower Studio has always been more than just a physical space; it’s a network of creativity, connection, and shared care, here in our beautiful city.
